Eloise and Her Shadows

More Pictures from Chestertown and Genie's Favorite Model

Come on Mom and Dad....move it....I'm ready to go sightseeing!

Now, what does it say?

I'm finally taller than you, Mom.

Hey, Baga...look at me... almost no hands.

O.K....I've had enough fun for one day. Let's hit on the road.
 I'm ready to go home.

Bridge to Somewhere ~ Wood's Creek Family Walk

The leaves are starting to fall, and it won't be long before Bud's pink shorts are put away for the winter. In a few weeks these trees will be bare.
I cannot believe that summer ended today.

Yesterday Bud and I went on a one mile "Family Walk" along Wood's Creek here in Lexington. This is one of the bridges over the creek. If you haven't ever been on a "Family Walk," you have missed out on boocoodles of fun: babies in strollers, children, parents, old folk, people in wheel chairs, and lots of dogs on leashes.

The Runner Wears Pink ~ Daily Photo ~ 9-19-12

Out came the little children running.
All the little boys and girls,
With rosy cheeks and flaxen curls,
And sparkling eyes and teeth like pearls,
Tripping and skipping, ran merrily after
The wonderful music with shouting and laughter.

Walkabout Outfitters
Lxington, Virginia

This is where my retired husband works part time when he is not out hiking  up and down the mountains of the Blue Ridge or just walking around and about in the woods. Smart Wool socks are a HUGE seller as you can see in this photo. Note the large number of pink socks. I LIKE IT!

This post is linked to Kim Klassen’s Texture Tuesday. This week we were to use Kim’s textures with a picture of a person. I used her “subtlyyours” texture X 2 and her “Framelt” frame.
