Reflections and Shadows from the Genie and Beth's "Big Walk"

One side of the street....

A bit more of the other side of the street....

"All truly great thought are conceived while walking."
~Friedrich Nietzche

This quote is so nice, but I hate to say I don't think Beth and I had any truly great thoughts on our walk up and down the streets of Waynesboro...just fun!

Some Skies and Churches of Waynesboro

St. John's Catholic Church ~ Waynesboro, Virginia

Side View
I knew I was looking up into a very clear and sunny sky, but I had no clue about the rays until I looked at the picture on the computer screen.
Sometimes I am amazed as what I actually end up capturing.

Some Fences from Waynesboro in BLack and White

Thought the listing angle of this one was interesting.

But, on this side, it looked more to be falling over.

This is the vintage iron fencing in front of the BandB I posted for Signs2 yesterday.

I included the ornate iron grate over the front door of the Band B.
To me it is fencing meant to keep out the unwanted.

I posted this sign, too, but I wanted to show you the old vintage home with the protective fencing around the front porch. It keep the babies from falling off and adults' sipping g;asses :-)

A Special Walk

Today I had my first meeting with a blogging friend... Beth from "elizardbreathspeaks". Woo-Hoo!!!We met in Waynesboro for lunch and then a walk about town with our cameras. It was a beautiful day filled with fun, laughter, and lots of picture taking. Can't wait to do it again. There are so many positives about our passion for photography blogging. We are never too old or too young to make a new friend.

Friendship...is not something you learn in school.
But if you haven't learned the meaning of friendship, you really haven't learned anything.

Footbridge at Park ~ Waynesboro,VA

Today Buddy ran in a half marathon between Waynesboro, VA, and Stuarts Draft, VA. I took these pictures while we were waiting for the race to begin. They are of the footbridge over the water so people can get from one side to the other. While the Star Spangled Banner was being played, I thought the flags looked more beautiful than usual...the red especially. Once the “starting horn” went off I took this photo.
