Here Lies Jefferson

Late one afternoon over Christmas, I decided to go out for a walk along  the main street of tiny, little Still Pond, Maryland, I discovered this R.I.P. tombstone in the front yard of a lovely old home. I cannot imagine where you would have room to put a horse down to rest because the driveway is right there to the left and the sidewalk and street are directly to the right. Needless-to-say, I did not knock on the door and ask questions. I just stopped and took these two pictures.

Little Shed

I think this is a little shed out from the main house, but I like to think of it as a playhouse for a little girl or boy.

Christmas in Black and White

White Picket Fence ~ Still Pond, MD

The reflection of the lights is in a long puddle of standing water in the driveway after a BIG rain. Since it was nighttime when I took these photos, I felt them only appropriate in black and white.

Just the Reflection in a Puddle
I was amazed at some of the detail I was able to capture in this shot...especially on the upper end.

After shooting the fence, I spotted this fallen branch with its beautiful reflection as I was walking through the neighborhood. When it rains there, it stays there. Guess that is life of the Eastern Shore.
