Have any of you have Blogger do this to you. I posted the post with everything AOK, but after reading a comment and publishing it I lost that posting and Blogger took me back to an earlier draft. Now I am having to go back and figure out what I said. What a pain in the neck. It is also messing up all my typing and putting words not where I placed them.
Many of the farms around us have little signs on them stating that they are Land Trusts, but I have never seen one like this. The farm is located outside of Staunton, Virginia.
I took this picture from right to center. There wasn’t a cloud in the sky, but there was still a wee bit of left over snow on the ground.
This is the center shot with the driveway up to the barn showing off the beautiful old unpainted wooden fences.
This is the view off to the right. To me it is so pretty with the fencing, shadows. the small building, and the beautiful sky peeking through the barren trees. It is a beautiful farm.

Oh, what a beautiful barn/farm! I would love to just walk around there!
ReplyDeleteLovely barn!
ReplyDeleteI think the sign may be a newer version of one that emphasized the Chesapeake Bay water quality.
I do love barns -- reminds me of when I had a horse and when I visited a favorite uncle on his farm!! Fun Memories, Genie! Thank you!!

Great shots from the farm.
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful shots. I'm not on Blogger but know that it has been acting up for other Blogger friends.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos of a wonderful looking place.
ReplyDeleteI've had my share of problems, but none of these.
That's one grand old' building.
ReplyDeleteYour problem with Blogger is a new one to me. If you find the solution please post.
Very nice post! wonderful photos! Have a nice day!
ReplyDeleteEach view in each photo is so lovely. I wonder if the sign means that it is a fresh water stream (unpolluted). I really don't know.
ReplyDeleteoh what a beautiful place! is it privately owned?
ReplyDeletea very gorgeous place. not sure what's happening to blogger for you. do you, by chance, use 'blogger in draft' version? i've heard folks mention that before that it no longer works well. there's a click box somewhere in their settings menu. just a thought in case it helps.
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos! I love the exquisite beauty of this place!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful place! I love the photo of the driveway leading to the barn!
ReplyDeleteThe farm look loved and well taken care of.
ReplyDeleteAs for Blogger, this has never happened to me but I have had other strange things happen. Sometimes I wonder if it was because I was posting when someone at "Blogspot Headquarters" (yes, I made up the name) was simultaneously updating (or attempting to update) something.
It's certainly very beautiful and being stream-friendly sounds like a great thing, but what is it exactly that makes it stream-friendly?
ReplyDelete(Sorry you're having blogging problems, sounds like a real pain.)
I love that barn! It's been beautifully maintained and someone spent a lot of time building those gorgeous cupola's
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots and I love the idea of a stream friendly farms. I remember 30 or so years ago when we'd camp and back then felt pretty safe about getting water from mountain streams but tried to make sure we were upstream from any nearby farms.
ReplyDeleteLove this! Wonderful shots!
ReplyDeleteIf I'm going to be composing a blog post with more than minimal text I always write it in a text editor first and then just copy-paste the text into the blog post so if anything goes wrong I don't lose the original text.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool barn find! I like the lane leading up to the green barn. I always wonder about structures shaped like this barn and would love to see one from the inside. The copulas are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteGasp! My in-laws live in beautiful Staunton and I think I may have seen this farm!
ReplyDeleteThese are really peaceful and beautiful photos. I am fascinated by the house seemingly balanced over the barn. Have a very Merry Christmas.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous barn photos for Rurality ~ thanks, carol, xxx
ReplyDeleteYes, Google/Blogger has been a bit 'wonkie' lately ~ Since Google bought out blogger it has been rather nerve wracking at times
Lovely perspectives...I use Wordpress and occasionally I have problems...always something! http://lauriekazmierczak.com/tundra-out-there/
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful barn and property! Love the fences too..
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely farm! Blogger is being very odd right now… it appears to be snowing on one of my photographs like a snow globe, which is fascinating… and strange. I'm sorry you had to re-write your post, that's a bummer.
ReplyDeleteA lovely serie!
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to you!
What a pretty farm, glad they are stream friendly. Lovely photos, have a happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful place. Everything looks wonderful!
ReplyDeleteBlogger can be kind of finicky... sorry for your problems. What a beautiful farm!!
ReplyDeleteLovely!
ReplyDeleteI've had issues in the past with blogger being more than difficult. It is truly frustrating.
ReplyDeleteYour photos are marvelous- thanks so much for patiently posting them to us!
Merry Christmas!
Blogger does have its charms it seems...I love this farm! The barn looks old but maintained. And the pasture with that split-rail fence looks so old - but very functional. Set around the hills, it offers a glimpse into the practical past...
ReplyDeleteThat is one glorious barn, and I love your shots of it.
ReplyDeleteI've had my run-ins with Blogger, but not the particular ones you've encountered. Maybe try to report it to them? Could be a glitch they can fix.
It looks chilly but the view gives me the warmth feeling.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas from my Family to Yours!
Great farm but where is the stream?
