Views from the Olympic Peninsula of Washington

Crescent Lake ~ Olympia National Park ~ A Natural Lake
I sat in one of the two chairs and babysat the dog while my son and his family went canoeing and Bud went hiking up to the waterfalls. Grandmothers make great baby/dog sitters.

View of Mt. Ranier from the Baimbridge Island Ferry
It is a tad bit blurry, but at least I was able to get one shot of it. On some of our trips out there we never see the mountain at all.

 Barn at Sequim, Washington
How can anyone pass up a good old barn?

My 7 Year Old Grandson Taking It All In
I LOVE that red, curly head of hair!

This was a very small farm,
but the owners made good use of what land they had.

  6. It is a beautiful part of the country isn't it!! I have a view of Mt. Ranier from the roof of my apartment building, but the skies have to be really clear for me to get a good view! It's always worth the wait when we do!! I love your captures for the day! The barn is terrific! Hope you have a great week!

  15. Your grandson is keeping a respectable distance from the ornery animals!
I love the seat you have chosen for yourself while the others leave you alone with your view.

  17. Very nice photos! I, too have a red-haired grandson - his hair was curly when it was longer, but they keep it cut short now...he will be 7 in October. Aren't they a delight? I have 5 grandsons - the youngest will be 5 in 3 days, the oldest will be 8 in December.

That barn is a nice-looking operation, with lots of critters!

  24. Just beautiful to be able to look at the mountains. We get to look at the sea and hills, beautiful of course, but there is just something magnificant about mountain ranges - large n mysterious and many a story to tell. Love those red curls Genie.
