The Pink Cadillac Diner has been in Rockbridge County for years and years. It had changed hands a number of times, but a fellow teacher and her husband are running it now. On our way back from a race that Bud ran in in Roanoke on Saturday, we stopped off for apple pie and ice cream. It was SO good! I just had to pull out my camera. It looked too inviting to pass up.
Yes, that is Buddy. The old Cadillac has been there as long as the restaurant.
The fencing is the cutest in its pink and green.
The two top pictures are of the ice cream bar.
You know what the third photo is....yes, my plate of apple pie, ice cream, and caramel syrup.
The Manure Movers of America sign hung between the restrooms. So funny!
I thought the "Please Wait to be Parked" was pretty clever. Sorry the picture is not real clear.
I think I am going to have to buy me one of the pink coffee cups. They are so cute.

Hello Genie! The apple pie and ice cream, my favorite. YUM! What a cute diner. I like all the vintage coke items. Happy Monday, enjoy your new week!
ReplyDeleteI love apple pie with ice cream...specially my own homemade apple pie. LOL And yes, I remember those little jukeboxes at the tables. I used to actually work at Columbia Records where we made the actual albums, cassettes and 4-track tapes. On Friday nights, my friend and I always went to this truck stop that had those little jukeboxes. And they served the best hamburgers on the planet!
ReplyDeleteI would sure want to stop and eat there if I were near!
The place looks really inviting:)
ReplyDeleteThe color will most definitely get your attention! It looks like a great place to eat!
ReplyDeleteThat's quite a diner. Yes, it brings back memories of past drive ins.
ReplyDeleteI've been there but last time was a few years ago. Back then they had a figure of Elvis and outside was King Kong!
ReplyDeleteMy kind of place. Glad you showed the pie and ice cream!
ReplyDeletePink works for me. It sure is an eye catcher.
ReplyDeletewe went there with friends years ago while visiting Nature Bridge. such cute. love a retro restaurant. ( :
ReplyDeleteIf you ever get this way, we will eat at Carmen's Diner here in town( check it out on google) - food is great too. The little jukeboxes are right on the table and they work. Got some quarters. I have heard of The Pink Cadillac restaurant before, but never saw any photos. Love it. I am with you girl on the ice cream etc.
ReplyDeleteOh what a fantastic fun place; I love those signs, too funny and clever. I really need to go on a sign-hunt; I really miss that meme when I don't have anything.
ReplyDeleteAnd could you email me a piece of that pie next time you're there -- caramel syrup included please ;>)))
How cool is this! Do the Mary Kay ladies meet for lunch here?
ReplyDeleteThis really is what I imagine an American Diner to look like - what a treat! Chrisx

ReplyDeleteWorth a Thousand Words
It is a rare find for ice cream, pie, and photo worthy. That is a place I would have to stop at going out and returning.
