We’re Hungry!

Please help identity. I have never seen these big boys here before.
Buddy thinks they are pigeons.
Update...my blogging friends say these are probably Mourning Doves.

Here is another chubby little lovely that showed up today for some din-din.

  4. Looks like you have some doves visiting you Genie and that little nuthatch is all over that feeder. I love how must of the time they are upside down.

    You look like you were getting much larger flakes of snow than we had. I think we only got about three inches in my area.

  7. They may be pigeons but I suspect they are mourning doves. (The photo is a tad too dark for me to see clearly.) I love the white-breasted nuthatch in the last few photos!

  9. i was thinking doves too...i don't know much about birds but i know those! how nice they all have a place to come eat...you're a regular golden corral in the bird world :)

  11. Those photos could have been taken in my backyard. I have the same assortment plus chickadees, titmice, and woodpeckers of all sizes.

  13. We have doves, sparrows, but I've never seen a nuthatch before. Pretty looking bird. Very nice photos!
