After a two month break from blogging and working with Kim's textures, I feel like I am starting all over from scratch. For this still life I used 2 layers of Kim's "written" texture and a layer mask. It's a beginning, but I have a long ways to go to catch back up to where I was before taking my sabbatical in June.
This post is linked Texture Tuesday over at Kim Klassen's Cafe.
Beautiful still life.
ReplyDeleteI don't understand: written texture and mask? Are you talking about filters on your camera, or in Photo shop? It is a pretty shot, but it doesn't seem to go anywhere. That's just me talking.

Your photo is beautiful. I need to learn how to use textures. Do you use Photo Shop?

ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty shot - I love how you put your still life items together - they really work well. Great use of the texture too - I love the softness it gives the image - a beautiful photo.
ReplyDeleteWonderful composition and colour harmony in this, Genie.
