This post is linked to “Things in a Row” which is sponsored by Pat over at “A View from the Edge.” The prompt for the week was “quilts” so I am sharing four lap quilts I made a few years back. Sadly, they are machine stitched instead of the little tiny quitting stitches I used for so many years, but they are definitely homemade. It is also linked with "Mosaic Monday."
You made these.....I love them.....esp. the first one. Wish the sewing machine would not fight me so much. xo
ReplyDeletei'm still in awe - machine-stitched or not. i'm terribly inept with stitchery...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilts! Beautiful rows!
ReplyDeletePrecious quilts pretty colors. Greetings.
ReplyDeleteStill beautiful! Aren't most quilts machine quilted these days?

I love quilts. Yours are really nice! A lot of work goes into them, even he. They're machine stitched. :)
ReplyDeleteThose are beautiful!!!!
ReplyDeleteThose quilts are sooooo pretty, Genie! I would keep warm under any one of these, it is hard to pick a favorite. I did, it is the multi-colored one in the bottom middle.
ReplyDeleteOur church has a quilting group where a lot of the ladies have learned quilting. My Sunday school class furnishes a quilt and some take-home baby maintenance things, including diapers, to the very poor new mothers leaving our hospital with their new babies.
Finally, Mom left a bunch of old quilts on the farm in a box. The racoons broke in and made a nest in them. So, they were no good anymore. Better that than letting the thieves who later ramsacked the house have them.
..
I'm glad the link finally worked for you!
ReplyDeleteThese are all beautiful quilts! I can not sew at all (except for a button or a hole) so I envy your talent!
For future reference, I don't specify the subject for Things in a Row, sometimes I come up with a theme FOR MY OWN PHOTOS. You can do whatever you like! Thanks for hopping on board!
Very pretty quilts. It doesn't matter that they are machine quilted. :)
ReplyDeleteWhat gorgeous quilts. I love them all but the middle one on the bottom row is my favorite. Ir reminds me of the ones my grandmother used to make.
