This is another shot of the road which runs in front of our house. I posted it last week, but just a few days later it looked quite different after the snow. The new pictures were so pretty I just had to post one of them. The snow started late Saturday afternoon and lasted until the afternoon on Sunday. We had no school on Monday, and then today it was all gone...the perfect snow...beautiful, wet and heavy so it stayed on the trees, and short lived.
I processed this with RadLab. It looks as if it is nearing dusk as the sun is setting. For me, experimentation with different processing programs is such fun.

Absolutely gorgeous photograph! LOve the icy trees! Miss them (used to live in Va!)
ReplyDeleteThese photos are so pretty!
ReplyDeleteGenie these snow photos are gorgeous. Here's a tip for you. Instead of using RadLab, try setting your camera mode to cloudy. The effect will be just as good or better. It will give you that "golden hour" that appears around sunrise and sunset.
ReplyDeleteThis is so beautiful. These photos are the type that were made into calenders which hung on the wall, and I dream of a white christmas as a kid in tropical Borneo.
ReplyDeleteThe snow pictures are stunning, I love the white trees.
ReplyDeleteThanks Andy for the suggestion...I am join to give it a try. genie
ReplyDeletebeautiful genie! barely a sign of the snow here now!
ReplyDeletethese are beautiful. :)
ReplyDeleteThis is breathtaking :) Beautiful :) Hope you can visit my world, too :)
ReplyDeleteWonderful shots of your winter wonderland.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a beautiful winter day! I never thought I'd say it but I am so sad about the lack of winter this year...
ReplyDeleteLove both shots!
ReplyDeleteYou've definitely had more snow than me.
I saw Andy's comment - sounds like that might be worth a try. :)
Nice photos and what a beautiful drive that is. Cold, but beautiful!
ReplyDeleteWe rarely have snow where I live - none this year - so I have to enjoy it through pictures like this. Though not quite the same (!) it's lovely to see on the screen. (Would be great to walk along a road like that.)
ReplyDeleteI like both versions of this shot, they "feel" different to me. I have to say I almost miss real winter when I look through your snow photos. So nice.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous! Love the crispness of your first pic (I know I'm late for Our world:) )
ReplyDeleteThis is so beautiful! I can't decide which version I like better. :)
ReplyDeletePS: No more word verif on my blog, but I have been getting spam. And I think it's a hassle to have to "publish" all the comments. But those "words" were too much!
You do magic with your photo processing! I'm having fun just watching you.
ReplyDeleteJust gorgeous! I like your processing as always!
ReplyDeletegorgeous snow!
ReplyDeleteAre you sure you are not close to my back yard.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful , just beautiful - love this shot.
