What a fun look at your world! And what great captures, too! I love them! Hope your week is off to a good start, Genie!! Mine definitely is now!Sylvia
Quirky is fun. Especially if you are on a walk.
Wonderful images from your hiking trip.
Great photos, Genie. reminds me of my childhood when we used to play Cowboys and Indians...
I love that teepee!
How I would have loved to have that tree house when I was a child. As it was, I spent a great deal of time sitting in the tree outside my bedroom window. It wasn't very big and had lots of branches so that it was easy to climb.
Thank you for the kind words on Driller's place. I'm glad you're enjoying the music. One never knows for sure how many people are actually stopping to listen, so your words are appreciated and encouraging. Thank you again.
Your findings might look quirky but lovely. When I was a child, I made a shelter combining the handles of three umbrellas in the garden to play house. Like Martha Z, how I wanted to have a tree house. Have happy days ahead, Genie.Yoko
What unusual sights! Love the shots.
Lovely to see these dwellings ! I was once inside a tepee. The owner had made it herself. It was quite big inside and in the middle was a fire, where she was preparing a meal . Around the fire there were cushions where we could sit. Thanks for sharing of your world.
. . . and have the freedom to do it as well. Yep, we're like that on the farm as well. It is great to have the grandchildren camping on our own land where they are safe and if the tent blows away, they can come home and sleep in their own beds.
nice, I like that. Our natives in the north, earlier used tents similar to those tipit. But not anymore I think. :)
Those are two nice places to be. A treehouse must be exciting to sit in. A tipi I visited this year in Norway Lapland.
Looks like an exciting and creative place - I would like that :)Have a great week Genie!
It is fun to find individual outdoor shelters. Both look like places I'd like to hang out it, no matter what age I am.
I'm with Mari -- love the teepee! :)
I like the quirkiness of the people in your neighbourhood! My kind of people. :)
Charming shelters:) Love your editing and framing too.
Lovely shelters! My fave is the tepee!***Bises et à bientôt, Genie****
Love the pictures of the unusual little surprises of life...And, to think they are right here in Virginia. I'll gonna have to watch the roadside more carefully.
