Driving the back roads of Rockbridge Country Monday afternoon after school, I spied these ducks in a beautiful privately owned pond. As always, I has hesitant to get up in the face of the ducks, so I had to shoot with my telephoto from across the road.
I have always loved pen and ink drawings, so today I tried to process my pictures using textures and grandient maps to get a black and white which looked similar to an actual drawing. This is what I did. As you know, I am always experimenting.
“Always behave like a duck - keep calm and unruffled on the surface but paddle like the devil underneath.”
~Jacob Braude
i love the quote.:p

ReplyDeleteAh yes.. typical duck behavior. I really like the pencil effect (or whatever the technical term is), it works really well on these shots.
ReplyDeleteGreat little ripple trails behind the ducks. Interesting editing Genie, the photos look vintage.
