Walker’s Creek Home and Barns ~ 10-30-11

Walker’s Creek Home and Barns
The house is all boarded up, but the buildings appear to be in good condition. I am not sure if the smaller one is a small barn or a shed because I was hesitant to go walking further onto the property to check on it.  I didn't know who or what might greet me! It looks like someone is storing hay in the big barn so that is a good sign.

  1. Hi Genie, Love the house and barn. Reminds me of when I was young and went to my uncles farm. Very cool.

  9. Doesn't look so inviting with all the wood in the windows. Is there living anybody?

  13. Now I am curious as to why everything is boarded up. I like it when the house and barns are painted the same colours.

  19. What a lovely property.

It always makes me sad to see a place boarded up like that (there was a huge property here, barns and house all boarded up for a time), but maybe a family will be living there again soon.

Sadly, a sign of the times in many areas of the country.
