February 8, 2016 ~ Maryland Barn #2

"I was so naive as a kid I used to sneak behind the barn and do nothing."
- Johnny Carson

There seem to be lots of white barns on the roads around Chesterton Maryland.

This post is linked with Tom’s Barn Collective.

  1. Very nice. It reminds me of Charlotte's Web for some reason.
I imagine this is what Mr. Zuckerman's farm looked like and it's no wonder Fern liked to play there.
Is there a spider hiding in one of the barn doors?

  2. This barn seems to be maintained and perhaps still in use as a barn. Perhaps there is a farmers who raises animals? Good shot.

  3. Thanks Genie for sharing this squeaky clean, white washed barn. I hope that you will be able to return more of these white beauties.

  7. My granny told me that most old barns and farmhouses are white, because it is the cheapest color to buy. Don't know if that is true or not, but it makes sense to me.
