Each year I try to make all of my Christmas presents, but sometimes I have to purchase a few. I LOVE knitting little bobbly hats with squiggles on the top using Tahki cotton classic yarn, and here are two that I just finished. I made the hats so that they can change as the child grows. The red one can turn up to make it shorter, and you can see the roll on the pink one pulls down to make it longer/larger. Debbie Ware has many patterns which I have knitted in the past, but now I like to follow her style but create as I go making them my own.

How very pretty Genie. You are so talented with your knitting needles, something that I am not :)
ReplyDeleteWhat darling hats! I need to get back into my knitting! Love the quotation. :-) The Tuchman and Hildebrand books are on my list too. I've also got a long one by n.t. Wright that I hope to read this winter (which seems to have started for us - it's cold and snowing.)
ReplyDeleteLooking good Genie.
ReplyDeleteI also love to knit. I've started knitting for charity as my family just doesn't need any more hats. These two are really cute!!!
ReplyDeleteWow....these are so very impressive. Love the colors too.
ReplyDeleteThat first one I like very much, the colours and the pattern are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteNice little hats - although they are not in my teams colours, and my head may be a bit large for them!

Those are so darn cute! The py make me wish I had a great- granddaughter! ( I don't knit though, so I'd have to have a knitting friend ... Or rely on Etsy or the Saturday Market! ).
ReplyDeleteAdorable hats! I can only knit a dishcloth so I'm always impressed by people who can knit actual things! Thank you for linking with Little Things Thursday!
