When Bud and I were coming home from a mountain/woods race two months ago, we stopped at this crossroads country store near Bedford, VA. Bud needed coffee badly. They did NOT have any coffee, but the signs were great. The man told him he only made coffee early in the morning, and we were mid-afternnoon.I really like the way the red stood out.
I miss your area. Gas here in 90 cents a gallon higher. Someday California will fall off into the Pacific Ocean and everything will be good again.ReplyDelete
cute little place!ReplyDelete
Wonderful photos! Nice signs! That peno not having coffee!ReplyDelete
Looks like the mill next door is in a bit of disrepair. The old coke signs are cool, I really like the Texaco. Those folks need to understand that coffee is not just for breakfast anymore ...ReplyDelete
I'm not sure I would have trusted their afternoon coffee anyway! I like seeing the old texaco sign.ReplyDelete
That is a traditional gas station sign. Looks like a nice looking place.ReplyDelete
Poor Bud! I hope he found some sort of caffeine substitute!ReplyDelete
Great looking place and signs!
A good old-fashioned gas station!ReplyDelete
Very picturesque, but did poor Bud ever get is coffee!ReplyDelete
I love old country stores...I cannot even think where there is one around here any more. And I miss them.ReplyDelete
