As things turned out, I was able to get another teaching job with the county :-)

ReplyDeleteit is always sad when a chapter is closed in oens life. Especially when it was a good one. Hope your new job will be good also.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on your retirement, and subsequent unretirement.

Looks like a good day.
ReplyDeleteGood for you getting another teaching position!
ReplyDeleteIt is always a deep cut when a school closes forever.
A day that would ensure all the precious memories are tightly tucked in the treasure chest and a new treasure chest waits to be opened. I too can never retire. Always a teacher.
ReplyDeleteoh that must have been a rough day, especially given how many years you worked there! good luck on the new teaching job, and i love that sigs, so cute!

ReplyDeleteWow, you had been there a long time!!
ReplyDeleteI'm happy for you that your sunset turned into a sunrise :)
wow, that would be quite an emotional day! someone asked me just yesterday if I missed teaching (I've been retired 8 years.) the answer...no. I miss the companionship of colleagues and kids' hugs, but the endless hours spent on prepping, grading and time on my feet? not a bit do I miss that.
