Douthat Lake

The Lake at Douthat State Park ~ January 1, 2013
It was an overcast day when Buddy and I went for our walk, but it was a quiet, beautiful one. The lake was down and just a bit of snow was left on the surrounding mountains. I think we were the only people there. We had the whole park to ourselves. It was wonderful.

  1. What a beautiful lake and it's not frozen Whoopie. Things here are iced up!
BTW Pitchers and catchers report Feb. 12th! Can you believe it? Mo will be on the field too. I am so tired of Football too, and don't like basketball at all. As for A-Rod who knows. Too much money for what he is doing lately anyway. He'd better shape up. I am going to miss Swish though !! Cleveland will love him.
Have a great rest of the week.

  2. How pretty this looks with just a sprinkling of snow on the hilltops.

  3. It was the hills in the background that caught my eye. In my part of the country we have hills but not as big as those ones.

  5. Wow, Genie - its really beautiful at this time of the year to see an open lake, and what a beauty this photo is. I like to read comments of others and noticed Becky was talking about baseball - do you have a team nearby your territory. Who are they and what are they called. Would be neat to know. You have the best photos always - I like how your eyes and soul capture the things most people don't see. Thank you for the note about my latest post. Pass it on in case anyone you know has no knowledge about Dulsin' Luv Ya Kiddo
