Lightroom to Photoshop and Back...Sometimes

Well, here it first try at editing in Lightroom, taking the pictures into Photoshop Elements and doing some tweaking and texture work, and then back to Lightroom and publishing. All I can say is it has taken me hours and hours to start to figure this thing out...lots of wonderful video lessons to view over and over again, lots of note taking, lots of trial and error, and LOTS of eyestrain and quite a few headaches.  Oh, my goodness, is it hard...but so much fun. Three more lessons to go before the end of the class.

My Orchids Are Still Blooming

  1. i love the first image. looks like a poster or card. :) good girl for hanging in there to learn something new!

  2. A lot to learn but it's fun. eh.

  3. I think it's great that you are learning something new. I had thought about taking the course, but didn't think I could commit to the time involved. Maybe next time around.

  4. The photos look very nice. What would be interesting is if you posted a photo done like you use to do them, then put another directly under it, the same photo, but done with your new found knowledge and this Lightroom thing your studying. The comparison might be startling.

  5. Yo are doing great at this. I wouldn't be able to be so dedicated.

  6. It looks like you're picking it up quite well! These are nice shots and edits!

  7. You're doing great! Keep up the wonderful work. :)

  8. Hi Genie
are you doing a class with Kim Klassen? I am in her Beyond Layers 52 weeks.
I am operating with Elements, and have just been given Lightroom for my birthday, and hope to do Kim's Lightroom class the next time she opens it.
LOVED the orchid in the last image - gorgeous light. Well done.
Have a great weekend, and thank you for stopping by my blog the other day.

  9. Very well done Genie - that first photo is a keeper and should hang on a wall somewhere, maybe here :)
Love the ltg in Orchid. Well done dearie.
