It Won't Be Long Now ~ Weekend Reflections

Days like this with snow on the ground are not so far away.
These shots were actually taken earlier this year in February.

This post is linked with Weekend Reflections.

  1. Oh no! I do admit winter is beautiful in your "backyard"...but it's so cold!

  2. I like your title : "It won't be long, now" ; it made me read the post to understand what you meant...

Nice picture. you seems to have do some work on them, though.

  5. I'm glad you stated these images are from February. They look particularly bare and chilly! ;-)

The weatherman told us to expect some flurries next week. Not looking forward to that.

  6. Lovely shots of winter. I wish it snowed where we live. Very rarely.

  7. I'm better that clear water is deeper than it appears to be.
The leaves are falling so fast these last few days and with rain all weekend I'm going to see trees as bare as in your photo.
    Wonderful reflection shots Genie!

  8. Wow! That water is SO clear!! The nearly monochrome muted tones make a nice contrast with the light and shade! Beautiful!

  12. Love the subdued gray/brown colors with a hint of green. They are quite a contrast from my afternoon sunny creek scenes.

  14. ...we had a cold front move into south Texas last night and the 'cold' air felt superb!!! I'm so ready for a change of temps. But, I don't like snow any longer after nearly 50 years in Colorado...I like the mild winters. Your photos are absolutely superb Genie.

  16. Yep, it won't be long. I don't want to think about it.
I'm concerned about you guys. You might be in for some serious snow from this storm. Please take care, and keep me posted. We're prepared for whatever. We have a diesel powered generator, and 2 sump pumps for the basement since we live close to the creek. So far all they are calling for is very high winds, and 3"-6" of rain. That surely will bring it over it's banks since it's been raining all day today already it's up a bit.
Now, what do you think about the mess A-Rod has gotten himself into?
