Iris in Black and White

My iris plants have finished blooming, and this is one of the last shots I got this year. I went back and forth between monochrome and color and finally decided on the black and white. It is a bit sad, but there is always next year.

This post is linked with "Weeknend in Black and White.”

I do not know about you all, but Blogger has ramped up its “mess” we are supposed to decipher. I am so tired of it. Now, I just click on the circle over and over again until I find one I can read, but a lot of the time I just let it go and move on.  I do feel that more people have opted out from the word verification. THANK YOU! I just wish everyone would stop. It is a big pain in the neck which I can do without.

  3. My iris were not as spectacular as usual this year. Must have been the lack of rain earlier in the season. I'm with you on NO word verification!

  9. I like it - half in and half out of macro - it offers various interpretations of sadness, perhaps!

  12. I do so agree about the menace of word verification! It just gets worse and worse.

Your iris is a delight. It seems strange to like a black and white photo of such a colourful flower, but I think the detail shows better without distraction. You have a beautiful photo here.
