The Swisher Farm ~ Fairfield, Virginia

Swisher Homeplace, Fields, and Barns
 Fairfield, Virginia

I have taught with Donna for years. This is where her husband grew up, and it is within walking distance of the school. Her house is just up the road a bit further.

  1. It looks a little bit like our foothills in the wet and early spring. Gentle hills, narrow roads, wide open sky. The one big difference for us thought is the foothills go higher and higher and soon you are in the Sierra Neveda mountain range.

    Love the red fencing!

We were through your area a couple of weeks ago and then back last week. It poured the rain when we went and on our return. I didn't stop anywhere for pictures. :(

  17. Perfect farm country and so well maintained. The "home place" one of the best country combos--white frame with green tin (?) roof? And those rolling fields accented with red. Makes me want to practice my scrabble words--like bucolic!!!
