I’ve Got a Hammer

I am posting early because Bud and I + Gene, Patti, and my 6 year old Eloise are off to celebrate the old 73rd birthday (actually Feb. 7) at Douthat State Park. This is an annual pilgrimage we make for my birthday. Will get caught up on Sunday night when I get back home.

Just another of my relatively small and mundane
objects that does a very big job for me.
(This reminds me of Peter, Paul, and Mary singing “I’ve Got a Hammer.”)

  1. Nice! I have a drawer full of hammers. I don't know why, but I do.

  2. Happy Birthday Genie - Funny, when I saw the hammer I too, thought of "I've got a hammer", as I was picturing you with it in hand.
Enjoy your day and many blessings on your special day.

  8. Small objects, especially ordinary ones, often make intriguing shadows--as does this hammer.

  14. I like hammers... like to have a variety of different weights and shapes around the house so I never have to look far for one!

  15. If I had a hammer, I'd hammer in the morning...I'd hammer in the evenin' all over this la-a-nd. Oh I like that song. Thanks for putting it in my head....I'll be singing it all day. And, I like it. Heck, I see 'Rubbermaid' on the head of the hammer?...is that correct? I didn't know they made 'em.
