I have always loved that quote (when we had a yard and garden, I was an indifferent gardener, b/c of lack of time mostly..we sold the house about the time I retired).
Anyway, your picture is magnificent == I have a very long way to go in learning about photography.
I've seen more dandelions this spring than ever in my life, I think, and to me they are beautiful. I took some macros when they were in bloom and was amazed at how different each one is. This image in b+w of the dandelion seed head is wonderful, Genie.
I hate to say it but a think a field of dandelions is really pretty. Don doesn't feel the same way...lol....

Lovely! I like the way you have a mixture of full and bare seed heads, and the way a stem is growing through one of them. It's a nice composition.
