After climbing 1600 feet, we sat down for a rest and a bite to eat. I took this picture while on my back gazing up through the leafless trees to the sky. I was pretending to be Georgia O’Keefe with a camera instead of an easel.
Stop by Skywatch Friday to see more beautiful skies from around the world.
This is a great photo, and I love your allusion to Georgia O'Keefe. So glad you stopped by Imagination Lane...lets visit again...

A wonderful tangle of patterns in that radiant blue sky!
ReplyDeleteFlat out :-) were you?
ReplyDeleteNot surprising: that was a fair climb.
Lovely to see you had good weather for it.
My way to spend a birthday:out of doors and active.
This is a great shot but it appears the shot was not your only luck that day. I believe I see a widow maker hanging in the top of that tree.
ReplyDeleteI noticed we use the same camera.
Thanks for stopping by my entry this week. I do appreciate the nice comment.
Beautiful picture. Beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains!
ReplyDeleteThanks for showing this picture.
Happy Friday,
Shirley
Hi Genie, Well we had some of a little warm up last week. Last night mother nature decided to leave me 5 more inches of snow to deal with this morning. That sure is a beautiful blue sky. Enjoying the view.

Amazing what we can see when we look up, isn't it? I'm very fond of blue skies and bare branches. :)
ReplyDeleteThat's a great perspective. I also like to lie down and point up. Happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sky against the branches!
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful...like ridges drawn on the sky....
