Every morning I go to the old Highland Belle school to walk the track for two miles before the long drive to school. It is what I call my “Morning Constitutional"...aka..."Solving the problems of the world.” Since the building is no longer a school but rather the central office for our school system, the entrance is locked every night. Today it was really foggy out, and for some reason I decided to hang my Canon around my neck just in case I saw something interesting. Sure enough I spotted this lock and chain which I can now add to my pictures of “mundane” things that sometimes do very big jobs. I cannot tell you why, but I am enamored with them and will photograph them very chance I get.
It rained cats and dogs all night long so everything was soggy when I got to the old track.
As I said before, it was really foggy. If you look hard enough you can see the outline of a tree on the hill. Also, look at the the second board from the top of the wooden fence and you will see the chain

Nice shots, Genie! I love black and white, anyway, so these were enjoyable!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea with the lock and chain. Apparently insignificant things can make interesting photo subjects.

ReplyDeleteNice chain, and great shots ;)
ReplyDeleteLovely fog, and as always I like your "mundanes" (that arent really). How I admire your dedication in walking that track every day, even in the damp.
ReplyDeleteGenie, Very nice captures in B&W. Foggy days can make for interesting photos. Are you "done" with school and off for the summer yet? Will you be going back next year or staying home, being creative, and taking lots of photos!!! I hope the latter. Have a great weekend. Mickie ;)
