Skywatch Friday ~ 10-13-11


7:00 a.m. as I am leaving for work 

4:00 p.m. on my way home - turn right and I live 5 miles up the road.

    The clouds are amazing in the second, yet I like the early misty morning best, it has so much mood to it.
    I love the windy road leading out of frame in the first too, rather mysterious and beautiful.

    The fog makes for a cool shot, but I LOVE that 2nd shot... That sky is awesome! WoW!!! =)

    I decided both your pictures are my favourite...;-) The first one is very mysterious (and what's life without it's grand mysteries?) and I adore the clouds in the second one.

    I really like the eerie first shot. At first, it almost looks like a black and white photograph and then you notice the pale rose blush on the horizon. The composition is nicly handeled. If there had been less sky, it would not have been nearly as good. The eye goes right to the pinhole of light on the horizon.

    Looks like you must have had a mostly overcast day but it was beginning to clear. I think you are clever to take your camera to work! You captured some interesting skies!

    I love both scenes and skies. I have always enjoyed the early morning fog. And the sky on your second shot is beautiful, great capture of the clouds, blue sky and all the pretty green trees. Wonderful photos, happy skywatching!
