Signs, Signs & Lots of Shadows ~ 10-12-11

Some of the signs from our hike through
the Cranberry Glade in West Virginia.

(Sorry about the 2 errors in my listing of this post. Guess that is what happens after one goes without internet for almost 3 weeks...or else I am just getting too old!)

There are more photos from the hike in an earlier post. Actually, it is the second “genie~va~us” in Lesley’s Linky list.

  3. Common Thieves? What about uncommon thieves? Just what is a common thief? Is this an east coast term?

  5. Trying to keep an area natural is tough when hundreds of people are passing by... but the signs help.

PS: Young people also make mistakes. So there is no such thing as being too old:-a

  6. I like reading signs. One way of informing people and it's the easy way too specially in this kind of place. ^_^

  8. Great post. It was only cool here for a couple of days - much warmer than last year so I am hoping for a mild winter! All is well with me - just enjoying the fall colors every chance I get.

  10. What a beautiful place - the foliage is stunning, the trees now losing leaves so the view is brighter with the sun filtering through. My favorite is the boardwalk, perfectly sized for my wheelchair. Nicely captured!

  11. I appreciate woodland walks where the trails are well planned. Boardwalks are the best, because your feet stay dry, no matter the weather!

    SHADOW, SHADOW
    (With apologies to William Blake)

    Shadow, shadow lurking dark
In a corner of the park,
    What immortal eye can see
    Your transcendent symmetry?
