This pond is less than a mile from the house and on the route I drive when I go to see my best friend. Buddy runs and bikes by it everyday, too. So many people have ponds like this our here in our little part of the country.

looks like it's having an algae bloom right now. :)
ReplyDeletethe swirly patterns from the algae looks almost attractive.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, placid pond teeming with algae. I bet you get so many lovely photo subjects here alone.
ReplyDeletePonds on my side of the globe look differently - they're usually filled with lotuses and waterlilies which are great to look at, but, there are also ponds that are full of garbage - absolutely not a pretty sight.

The algae seems to be taking over. I hope mother nature and the local tax payers straighten out this situation.
ReplyDeletethe water is scary, but the pics are beautiful... i love the autumn colors in the trees & love that dock... great frame, too =)
ReplyDeleteI spend plenty of time doing nothing... but looking at your peaceful world is pretty nice too.
ReplyDeleteI've seen a lake covered with algae, but it is one best object for reflection shots! Simply beautiful!
ReplyDeleteReminds me of my Uncle Cap's lake from my youth. Good memories.
ReplyDeleteLovely quote and the pond is very nice. Maybe some plants would help to keep the water clear of algae. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteSeems to be a bit of a problem with the water, otherwise it is a great place to meditate.
ReplyDeleteI have so missed you. I thought I was a follower of this blog. I am finding if I click on the top of a blog and sign up to follow it doesn't work. If I go to the sidebar and sign up there it works.
ReplyDeleteI have so worried about you. I was just about to cll out the
National guard. Please email me and let me know how you are doing and how school is. xo
These are gorgeous photos Genie! They look so elusive, and dreamy.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great place to fish...
ReplyDeleteI agree with Beyond..the photos have a dream-like quality.
ReplyDeleteI see the foliage is starting to change color a bit.
I love the second shot with that wide pier. that pond doesn't look so small either. I was recently visiting my friend's land where she has a pond and it too had algae on the surface like this one. it's a sign of late season, and all part of the beauty. nice captures Genie. happy day to you.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to have a pond like this, Genie. It's lovely.

ReplyDeleteYour shot from the pier is magical!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots of the pond.

BIZZZZZZ et à bientôt, mon amie****
These photos are each of them pieces of art! Thank you for sharing them.I should like to see those places.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your kind comment. Yes, I read about the man who was to be executed today. He committed his crime in the eighties, if he did it, for there was doubt about this crime. It is awful to kill a person and that's what the hangman has to do.
nice ponds. The greenary looks beautiful and I know it will go away. :)
ReplyDeleteThe shots are beautiful but not the water. :)
