Daily Photo ~ 7-13-11

Hay Field across from the Old Shumate Lumber Mill
Rockbridge County, VA


Just after I took this photo, there came one tractor from one direction and another from the other, and I was able to snap a shot of the two of them passing one another. Both of them  had funky little umbrellas over the drivers...though I doubt it did much good considering  the thermometer in my car was registering 98 degrees. Heaven only knows what it was out there in the middle of that bare field. I tell you, farming is not for the weak of body, mind, or spirit. You can see the area they had already cut in this shot.

    I didn't get half-way through reading that quote before I suspected the author. it's really a good one Genie. and this photo!!! I love the layers. this is perfection.

    This is beautiful! Hubby just done cutting hay and they already bale it. When they do that I don't go outside it's too hot. ^-^
