February 7, 2016 ~ Sepia Saturday’s Pesky Sam the Squirrel

“Not much goes on in the mind of a squirrel.”
Huge portions of what is termed “the squirrel brain” are given over to one thought: food.
The average squirrel cogitation goes something like this:
I wonder what there is to eat.”
~Kate DiCamillo, Flora and Ulyssses” The Illuminated Adventures

I do love watching them getting jump about, but I do not like them eating my bird food. When I rad the prompt “movement” I could not think of anything I had until I remembered my pesky little pal what drove me nuts this fall. So here you have Pesky Sam the Squirrel.

This post is linked with Sepia Saturday. The prompt was “movement."

  1. I always throw extra feed out for the squirrels...some of them might be Mama Squirrel's grandchildren.

  2. It is really lovely to see them moving around with all their antics.

  3. That is a small squirrel. It can't eat too much given its size.

  4. Sam desperately needs a horse head squirrel feeder.

  6. So cute! We don't have squirrels in Australia so I was very amused and pleased to see them when we were in America!

  7. Cute but do they get into roofs or wall cavities of houses like possums do? They are protected here in Aus but can be a real nuisance.

  8. I've had my share of pesky squirrels. They once wintered over in my dad's VW camper bus and ate through the electrical wiring. Cost over $4000 to repair! Never caught the culprit either!

  9. I enjoy those bushy-tailed tree rats....but then I don't have a garden for them to dig up, or bird seed for them to eat. (I didn't used to love them this much when we had both of those things). Pretty pictures in speia.

  10. I love watching their tails flick, seemingly without much thought.
