“If God had intended us to follow recipes,
He wouldn’t have given us grandmothers.”
~Linda Henley
Each year my son, Gene, Patti, and Eloise come here for my birthday on the 7th of February. Then we go out to Douthat State Park for fun, games, eating, and hiking. We have gone for so many years that this year we decided just stay here at the homeplace...so they are not coming until the next weekend...the one of Valentine’s Day. That’s when Eloise has a 3-day weekend. That’s a GOOD thing for Baga. The “tragedy" of this is I (Baga) will not get to help her make her Valentine’s Day cards for her classmates. We have done this together ever since she started school, so since she won’t be here I have had to make my own for her.

Hi Genie,
ReplyDeletethe image black / white I like very much, the joy of the visit to your next birthday is sure great. But this Valentine card with cute kids is fantastic. After I love children this is my absolute favorite.
Nice weekend for you.
Sadie
What a sweet tradition. I'm sure your granddaughter will also be missing it this year.

That photo is perfect for you and Eloise. I know how special she is to you. You will have fun on Valentine's weekend. Happy birthday my friend.
ReplyDeleteThis is so lovely! What a treasure! You asked me if I used Wacum pad but honestly, I don't know what it is.In general, I use drawing/painting software to draw digitally.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week ahead, my friend!
You are so talented. Eloise will love the Valentine and it will be great to have the three days with her (and her parents of course).
ReplyDeleteAwww, this is great, genie! I am leaving my comment on this post, but I read the barns post and the blogger loss post. Great photos! As for blogger, I'm just not gonna get ticked about it. Cost of doing biz, and we don't pay for these accounts. I really don't see why people can't just open a gmail acct. It's free. Ya can't change google's mind. Oh well, have a great day and thanks again for your visit! xoxo
