A Day of Happiness

Being with Children Makes Me Happy

“You’re never too old to become younger.”
~Mae West

It is so interesting how the shadows vary from spot to spot.
It was a HUGE sunny day.

This is the nicest entrance walk to the front door of the school.

Yes, this is moi...my inner child trying so hard to burst out and fly freely.  :-)

Will the children remember them or leave them?
That is the question.

This is such a neat thing to have painted on the pavement.

The school playground backs up to a sweet little cemetery.

  1. What a fun post! It's so true. I got an unexpected (and long) phone call from our 8 year old grandson. Such a fun and chatty mood he was in! It really brightened my day. :-)

  10. Being at a school is a joy. I finally get to go back to school as a Speech Pathologist after almost three months absence for health reasons. Looks like you had a great time!

  11. I recently sat under a tree on a swing, swung; hadn't done so in almost 4 decades. Bliss.

  13. I enjoyed the wander round the beautifully designed school. And love the mountain back drop in the last photo. I too have been known to have a go in a children's playground - usually on the swing.

  20. The school and surroundings are lovely under a warms winter sun. I am drawn to the playground though, with enough attractions to make playtime perfect for those of any age. The slide looks fun!

  28. My favorite Photos are of you on the slide! Good for you! And thank you for going to school to be with the children. There was a map painted on the playground of one of my elementary schools, I remember my dad walking me over to the NJ (where my grandparents lived) and saying "doesn't it look like a peanut?" and then walking me to Nevada, where I lived it at the time. Perfect visualization for a 7 year old that we were on opposite sides of the country.

I used to belong to a senior walking group and we occasionally went down the slide in a playground we walked through.... One after another like ducklings ( very old ducklings);)))!
