Being with Children Makes Me Happy
“You’re never too old to become younger.”
~Mae West
It is so interesting how the shadows vary from spot to spot.
It was a HUGE sunny day.
This is the nicest entrance walk to the front door of the school.
Yes, this is moi...my inner child trying so hard to burst out and fly freely. :-)
Will the children remember them or leave them?
That is the question.
The school playground backs up to a sweet little cemetery.
What a fun post! It's so true. I got an unexpected (and long) phone call from our 8 year old grandson. Such a fun and chatty mood he was in! It really brightened my day. :-)
ReplyDeleteA grandma auf der RUTSCHE, do not know the english word. This is so great! P.
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, that's my kind of amusement too!
ReplyDeleteHave a nice sunday
Genie is that you having fun on the slide.. I love it :)You are quite right children are the best medicine. I can't wait to get my hands on my little granddaughter next week yay!
ReplyDeleteP.s. excited about my secret Santa present :)

ReplyDeleteI love all these photos but my favorites are you on the slide. Way to go Genie :)
ReplyDeleteI agree and I was with children too. I love the ones of you coming down the slide!
ReplyDeleteI would love to have that map painted on a wall in my house even. I love maps...
ReplyDeleteOh, Genie...those kids are so blessed to have you!
If it's good enough for Mae West! (not that I recall seeing her on a slide :) )
ReplyDeleteLeave them is the answer...LOL!! Oh so glad you had a day with your inner child! Your pictures made me smile!
ReplyDeleteBeing at a school is a joy. I finally get to go back to school as a Speech Pathologist after almost three months absence for health reasons. Looks like you had a great time!
ReplyDeleteI recently sat under a tree on a swing, swung; hadn't done so in almost 4 decades. Bliss.
ReplyDeleteAh! We should never let that child within us 'die'! Good for you for unleashing it!
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed the wander round the beautifully designed school. And love the mountain back drop in the last photo. I too have been known to have a go in a children's playground - usually on the swing.
ReplyDeleteSuch fusing fun shots! Nothing better than inner childhood joy
ReplyDeletehow fun - you shed your inhibitions and slid down the slide - brava!
ReplyDeleteGood for you! What a nice day. Your pictures are wonderful.

ReplyDeleteok, the next time we are together we are so going to a sliding board together, we would have a ball, i have not done that in years. fun!! oh yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i love your spirit, you are so fun, kid-dy times. ( :
ReplyDeleteThe school and surroundings are lovely under a warms winter sun. I am drawn to the playground though, with enough attractions to make playtime perfect for those of any age. The slide looks fun!
ReplyDeleteSchools are a much happier place now than when I went way back when. I think I'm going to go find a slide tomorrow and go down it thanks to you!!
ReplyDeleteLove your slide photo and all the other items.
ReplyDeleteYou are the best. Slide away and always find happy.

artmusedog and carol
Glad to see you on the slide! I often go down the slide with my 2nd grade students and they think it is the funniest thing!
ReplyDeleteLove the map!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite Photos are of you on the slide! Good for you! And thank you for going to school to be with the children. There was a map painted on the playground of one of my elementary schools, I remember my dad walking me over to the NJ (where my grandparents lived) and saying "doesn't it look like a peanut?" and then walking me to Nevada, where I lived it at the time. Perfect visualization for a 7 year old that we were on opposite sides of the country.
ReplyDeleteyou are so cute! we had a map painted on our playground at my elementary school too, i loved it!
ReplyDeleteHi Genie,
ReplyDeleteIt's fun watching you have fun! I like your blues; thanks for sharing.
Happy Blue Monday.

ReplyDeleteGreat tour of the school and its activities.
ReplyDeleteA fun place!
ReplyDeleteYou know this traveler loves seeing that US map on the playground! What a great idea. And I love you on the slide! Who took your picture? I used to belong to a senior walking group and we occasionally went down the slide in a playground we walked through.... One after another like ducklings ( very old ducklings);)))!
ReplyDeleteSuch fun accompanying you on the visit to the school!
ReplyDeletesuch lovely pictures of you !!!!
