A Hodge Podge of Signage from the Half Marathon Last Saturday.
Two Bumper Stickers
This is where the Roanoke Half Marathon began.
Somebody was rooting for Frank!
The elevator at the Ramada Inn where we were staying and where all the after race festivities took place. As we were riding down on our way to go to the race, we heard a loud broadcast saying: “ I am locked in the elevator, and I cannot get the door to open!” Oops...Guess is was someone in the service elevator because we were fine and the door did open for us to exit.
Sign taped to the door of the
Ramada Inn.
After race wine and beer. Bud did not partake, but I had to try the vino.
Chili and pinto beans with cornbread...Bud did eat these.
This guy has his own little coffee company in Roanoke, and I couldn’t help but think of our Louis LaVache’s "Holy Cow Coffee Company" in California.
No more races until January :-)

Happy Thanksgiving my friend. Hoping you are feeling better.
ReplyDeleteneat collection of signs, but being a catmama, i love the first one the best.
ReplyDeleteI don't like the idea of the complainers having the longer life!
ReplyDeleteYou have taken quite the assortment of signs on this trip - a marathon of photography!
Nice collection of signs!
ReplyDeleteWhat fun! Poor Buddy doing all that work and you taking all those great pictures (and sampling that vino ;>))).....Love the post, thanks for sharing and happy T-Day.
ReplyDeleteOh, that stuck elevator makes me nervous -- that happened to me once and I still get a little tummy flutter when I get on one.
What a great collection of signs here! My favourite has to be the coffee sign, clever words, isn't it?
ReplyDeleteHappy Thanksgiving to you and yours. We may not have this celebration in Asia but we want to partake in the spirit of this holiday.
Love those signs! You found quite an assortment of them.
ReplyDeleteLot's of interesting signs!
ReplyDeleteI don't know if I agree with the sign, "The more you complain...the longer you'll live." Somebody might shorten your life if you are constantly complaining! Ha ha!
I saw that first one long ago and wanted to put it on the Little House on the Highway but my wife said I would be taking things a bit too far and she would be embarrassed to ride with us. I think I will try my luck and show her the one about complaining. Great post.
ReplyDeleteGood selection!
ReplyDelete(I am keeping out of Frank's way, especially if he is holding a hammer that big! Or is it an double headed axe?)
Sich a fun collection of signs! And what an eccentric character that coffee guy seems to be!
ReplyDeletewhat a myriad of signage!
ReplyDeleteGenie, Just wanted to come by and wish you a Happy Thanksgiving and a year of many blessings, my friend. Mickie :)
ReplyDeleteI love your hodge podge of signs here. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteIf complainers live longer who gets to listen?
