Rebirth ~ 9-11-12

A Rebirth on This Sad Day ~ 9-11-12
(new begonia bloom)

"For me and my family personally, September 11 was a reminder that life is fleeting, impermanent, and uncertain. Therefore, we must make use of every moment and nurture it with affection, tenderness, beauty, creativity, and laughter.”
~ Deepak Chopra, M.D.

  2. The monochrome is very effective for this occasion. We went to the Twin Towers 17 years ago when we visited from Singapore. So sad it is gone.

  6. Hi Genie,

Thank you so much for your lovely comments and wish Buddy a Happy Birthday (tomorrow) for me.

Tracy and I have six granddaughters ranging in age from 2 1/2 (the twins) to 14.

I like the composition on your Begonia bud and see what you mean about as white as you dared. You might try darkening the whole image. Just grab the curve dead center and pull it down and to the right. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

    The begonia bud will pop.

  7. Genie,
I just came over from John's place to see your black & white. He's a good teacher, I have learned a lot from him!

    Blessings!
