WiFi has been down since last Tuesday morning and today is Monday, Sept. 26th....I have called and called to no avail. It is STILL down. Please forgive my not commenting on your posts and not posting anything myself, but hopefully it will be back and running again this week sometime. I have gotten only double talk from the provider....i.e. we sent in work order for you and another person out where you are, but Century Link only got the one...sure. I really believe that one. The other house got fixed two days ago. Ours was supposed to be up and running yesterday AM at 9:21 at the latest, but NO SUCH LUCK. We use WiFi to operate our Verizon black box that boosts the signal for our cell phones out here in the boon-docks. We watch Net Flix and Hulu on the TV because we refuse to pay the inflated prices of Direct TV and that requires WiFi...so no PBS or National Geo TV...am reading books, cleaning, and fretting and grumbling...grr, grr, grr. Can’t wait to see all of your posts from the last week. I know they will boost my morale. Thanks for my GF across the mt., I am on line now just for a bit. Take care and I will be back on line soon. When will this end...almost a full week now:-(

ReplyDeleteI know how I feel when the lights go out, and no internet is just as bad. it's during those times when I realize how dependent I am on my computer for entertainment/creativity. hope you get wired up again real soon Genie! in the meantime, take lots of photos! happy day to you.
ReplyDeleteWhat can we do without internet? We want to blog. Don't worry, you will be back (once).

You sound frustrated and I don't blame you!
ReplyDeleteHope you get service back soon. I know how hard it is to be w/o internet. :S

ReplyDeleteHow frustrating.
ReplyDeleteWill be expecting a book review when you return!

ReplyDeleteSylvia
I'm sorry about your WiFi issues. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.
ReplyDeleteWhat a bummer, ours is intermittent and I have to constantly unplug and reconnect and in the meantime lose half my work.
ReplyDeleteHope it clears up soon.
Hang in there!
ReplyDeleteDo not worry, everything will be fine.
ReplyDeleteOh...nasty Genie. I need my internet!
ReplyDeleteI would definitely be out and about taking heaps of photos! Image collecting a variety for all the memes you can! That'd be a great challenge! (If I was at home I would be thinking about that connection all the time and getting more frustrated!) Take care!
ReplyDeleteSometimes we disconnect in order to connect ... to the people around us... Relax...
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I came here to let you know that your caption has been selected and was posted yesterday! See you when you or your Wifi are available. :)
Having just endured a 24-hour cable cut too, thanks to a passing typhoon, I can sure relate to the frustration of not being able to get online, Genie! Don't know what I'd do if I had to go without for a week; I depend on it for work! Yet still, take a deep breath and enjoy your wonderful world there.
ReplyDeleteAww!! How annoying is that? I hope your provider will just fix it and soon.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog, btw and I apologize for the delayed return visit. I scrolled all the way down the page and you got me impressed with your nice photos.
I wish you have a great week despite the absence of your internet connection.
