It's a simple barn and it fits right into that beautiful landscape!
ReplyDeleteMost of the barns that I've seen are red, so this is quite a treat. :)
ReplyDeletelove how the mountain peaks and the barn peak all collaborate!
ReplyDeletethis is a peaceful, bucolic scene and white barns aren't nearly as common as red. but when looking for them I've realized that there is actually more variety in barn colors than I previous thought. I can almost hear the occasional "moo".
ReplyDeletethanks for your kind comments on my blog Genie. I truly appreciate it and it means a whole lot. I often find it difficult to share my thoughts/feelings, but I guess when it comes to writing about my childhood farm and the surrounding area, it gets a bit easier. have a great week, and I'm glad the school year is just about done!
Goodmorning Genie,
ReplyDeleteAll your scenes tell a story, as does this one.
The dilapidated fences, the crooked posts, the part painted barn sides, all adding up a to a lovely image. well done you people for leaving those barns as a treat for the eye, and well done you for capturing it so nicely and preserving their existence in our minds' eye.
BTW, sorry to lead you a merry dance - the yellow iris address is in the name of this comment.

I like how you got the cows into this shot. Most of the barns that are shown have been lonesome.
ReplyDeleteI love the white barn sitting on all that pretty green grass. Good one.
ReplyDeleteSmiles,
Gigi
This says to me someone is hard at work daily to keep the farming life alive in some way however small or big. I love the simplicity of it and how that simplicity highlights the country life.
ReplyDeleteHi Genie,
ReplyDeleteCheck out the fences on that property, WoW! What a great old barn & pasture scene... love all that green! =)
Thanks so much for joining & have a great week!!! =)
I like the barn. Seems very calm there.
ReplyDeleteLovely shot - funny you should find my work blog - I am Cheri from Carolina Mts and work for Gallery of the Mts! I write this blog too!
ReplyDeleteNice pic! I'm sure I'm the same as you when it comes to barns. Every time I see one, I feel like I gotta take a pic of it. Especially the old ones...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo, I love the scenery. Thank you for the kind comment on my barn post.
ReplyDeleteHi there. I just wanted to say thanks for stopping by the other day. I meant to get over here sooner. I love your white barn shot. White barns are my favorite.
ReplyDeleteIn need of a tiny bit of TLC, but a good working barn. Great shot. :-)
