Monday I took my car to have the breaks checked only to be told it couldn’t be driven. It had to have both breaks and rotors ~ #650.00...Ugh ~ so I needed to find something to do until 5:00. Well, in my overalls, sneakers, and two silly pigtails, I decided to hoof it down the highway through Fairfield, Va, to Fairfield Elementary School and volunteer in first grade for the day...taking pictures as I was going. I was definitely dressed to work. As I was walking and BEFORE I stepped into a hole and fell ~ I discovered this sign. At first I was totally befuddled by it, and then I took each letter and flipped it in my head. Once I figured it out, I was off again only to go kaboom. Now, I have spent two days in bed with my trusty back spasms. I really do need to start looking where I am walking. Lots of my falls are caused because I am too busy looking at what is all around me for things to shoot with my iPhone and not paying attention to where I am walking. You would think I’d learn, but it’s hard to teach this old dog new tricks. I continue to laugh at my stupidity, but I’ll be up and about tomorrow ‘cause I HATE being stuck flat and not moving.
Here it is as I saw it. Pretty confusing.
Here it is after I rotated it.

I hope you recover soon! I once saw a sign in Florida written like that that advertised rabbits for sale - pets or food. I've never forgotten it.
ReplyDeleteThanks Geni, at first I thought I was going to have to stand on my head.
ReplyDeletePerhaps bring a walking stick with you next time! Hope your back is feeling better soon.
ReplyDeleteInteresting one

That's an odd sign. Maybe they've run out of hides, so they want to make the sign confusing.
ReplyDeleteA funny and painful story. Get well soon Genie.
ReplyDeleteAn interesting sign to fall for. Get well soon and be careful :)
ReplyDeleteHaving driven through the area where you live Genie, I can understand why you need new brakes. Is there any level ground in your neighborhood? If so, didn't find it.
ReplyDeleteI wish you speedy recovery.
ReplyDeleteWell, Genie! We have two things in common right now. I just had my car brakes repaired and I fell - except I have a sprained ankle. Hope you heal quickly!
ReplyDeleteApart from your fall from which I hope you recover quickly, I had to smile at this post.
ReplyDeleteNice sign. Before you turned the photo II thought there was some "hebrea" :)
ReplyDeleteGenie! For goodness sake girl, be carefully out there! I don't know f those people are gonna sell too many hides if people have to stand on their heads to read their sign!
ReplyDeleteyou must have thought you hit your head when you saw this sign haha...i hope you are ok! be careful miss genie!
