I thought it was time to take a break from working on my Vintage Block Quilt so decided to come up with a Valentine’s Day table runner. It will be 4~8X8 squares and will have strips of patchwork squares in-between and around the edges...at least that is the plan right now. This will give me a chance to work on my embroidery stitches which need lots of work. It is so calming, and it is nice not to have to worry about matching points and getting blocks to come out the right size. I am creating this one as I go. The pattern is in my head :-) That may be good or bad.
These are the 4 blocks, but they will be all in one line and not on top of each other.

ReplyDeleteAh your thinking ahead! Love your valentine blocks!
ReplyDeleteLoving your idea for this table runner... might be nice to bring out for anniversary or birthday loving time too! Can;t wait to see how it turns out from the idea in your head... I recently made a rug to go under my table top sewing machine to make it easier to slide on the table... from an idea in my head to reality in just a couple days! I was jazzed! Hope yours turns out as good as mine did :) Kathi

ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping by and checking out my blog, Genie. I went to your other two blogs and was so impressed with your hand work. We seem to have a lot in common. I, too, am a teacher (since 1975) and was raised in south Florida (Hallandale). I also was taught by nuns (Cuban nuns) at St. Matthews School. I love your 100 Blessings project! It was a pleasure to read about your first 30 squares. I would like to start one in the next few weeks but I have lots of projects to complete before I can start, though. Thank you for inspiring me!
