Long Live Our Frogs

We have so many frogs at our place we cannot count them. Apparently the hot tub turned goldfish pond and the other smaller pond on our sheltered back deck are very attractive spots for them to spend their days and nights. Geeze, do they make a LOT of racket! When my daughter comes home, they actually keep her awake at night. I have to put a loud, white noise machine in her bedroom so she can sleep. This year we have Peepers for the first time, and they REALLY do make a racket. Haven't seen them, but I hear them off and on all day long.

  6. To me, it is a true sign of spring when we can hear the frogs in the evening. I LOVE IT! Thank you for stopping in at Cranberry Morning and leaving a comment about a bygone era. So true. I don't know how my dad missed the influenza epidemic. He was a year old when it occurred, but his family lived in the country, pretty remote, so that was probably what saved them. Oh the stories...for sure! Thanks again for stopping in! I'm going to follow you with Feedly. :-)

  10. Frederick is rather a handsome fellow. Now, who would think about converting a olde hot tub into such a great pond. What a great idea - just set up a pump, plants and away you go - Great idea and great noise.

  11. Cute pictures. I hear a whole frog chorus in the evenings right now too. I can never seem to find them to photograph though.
