I Wasn't Foolin'. Spring is NOT Here in Rockbridge County
The first wave of snow has come and gone. Now, we are waiting for the second tonight. We are ready...propane...camping cook stove...head lamps...chili already made...the old dial phone ready to replace the digital ones...and all electronics charged. We ALWAYS lose power and internet. It is a given out here in the boonies. So far 3 inches...we will see what we have in the morning. School is CLOSED! Hoop-d-Doo!!! Click one time to enlarge and then a second time to enlarge a bit more.

i was wondering about school. well, then, you're set to stay home!
ReplyDeleteI like the 'black and white' of these photos Genie. Thanks for visiting. We got 18 inches of snow last week and woke up to an inch of fresh this morning. It's to be milder and sunny for a couple of days so surely some of it will melt. Pamela
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your Snow Day! I can feel your joy in this post! I hope you stay warm and dry, fed and amused .....by making snow angels.
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping you don't lose power! Take care and stay warm!
ReplyDeleteWe have been getting the second wave..the first way almost melted before the second wave hit...sure makes a winter wonderland.
ReplyDeleteSo many are getting snow now. It’s cold here but a warm up expected. I love your snow photos.
ReplyDeleteHappy Spring, snow and all. Sounds like you are prepared for it! I’m you latest follower.

No spring here either. I think we had 4" today. It is pretty but I would rather see pink blossoms on the trees.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your snow day. I'm sure the kids will. Hope you don't loose power.
ReplyDeleteSnow in Warren County too. It's pretty but I'd rather have sunshine.
ReplyDeleteAhah. I spotted the blue on the truck. These aren't b/w after all. The world is dressed in b/w with the color buried beneath. Wishing you more color. Soon.
ReplyDeleteThe seasons do seem seem a little tardy this year!

Thanks for visiting Genie!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear you had more snow!
Let's hope this is the last of it!
Gorgeous photos of the snow!
ReplyDeleteWe have snow this morning too, so no spring yet!
Enjoy the snow day, Genie, even if it is so late in the season. I hope winter soon quits for you. Here on the west coast of Canada is sunny and bright!
ReplyDeletei see that you are already closed for tuesday too....still holding out that the far stretches of botetourt are looking bad enough for a snow day tomorrow as well :D
ReplyDeleteWow! Hope your Spring comes soon. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog & your comment.
Spring has not arrived here either, but thankfully we have not had the snow so many have had lately.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by. Daughter did not learn to crochet from me, as I never learned how. Yes - my grand has a head full of beautiful red curls.
Hope you are having a great week.
You're right! It's still winter there. Pretty, though.
ReplyDeleteI,m still waiting here also. 3 inches I received. Spring is so over due.
ReplyDeleteYou obviously know how to prepare for the storm! It actually sounds warm and cozy in your house. And you don't have to drive in it. YAY for school closing in this weather.
ReplyDeleteWe had two waves of snow--about three inches the first time...then six the second. And now most of it is gone, too. Not complaining even though it makes for beautiful photos.
ReplyDeleteThe weather is going to be nice! I promise...
ReplyDeleteNice photos!
Genie, It still looks like you are in the middle of winter. We too had a major snow storm a couple of weeks ago--it made the world look like a magical place for a few days. Just wanted to "drop by" and wish you a Happy Easter. Hope all is well. Mickie ;)
ReplyDeleteYou're not fooling! It is so close, though! We had a lovely day today. Rain tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteCheers from Cottage Country!
Yawza! Good luck!
