Buddy's Black and Whites

Dinner Bell at the Knick House

 The Dam at Douthat Lake
The lake is really down so there is no water flowing over the dam.

 Just Another Winter Hike

Buddy took all of these pictures so I need to give credit where credit is due. I really would love for him to start his own photography blog devoted to his hiking and rural lifestyle. He is so good with his iPhone and his Canon Point and Shoot. I really love these three shots and must say I am sososo proud of him.

I like all three. It looks like he did a nice tilt shift on the second photo.

Love the photo of the dam - not sure what the Knick House is but the bell looks good.

The simplicity of the country amid the winter trees is wonderful - the black&white views show a land at peace, its uncrowded grounds a place for quiet reflection. A place to retreat into nature...

They go well together to set a mood. The last one makes me want to walk in the woods.

Wonderful light in B & W, my favorite is the second. A delicacy.

He sure is! (As good with his camera work as he is with the hiking/running.) Ask him to keep sharing with us through you! It doesn't look too terribly cold for this winter hike.

Lovely b/w - particularly of the first one with its mistiness, or is it a macro shot, I wonder. The downward waves of shadow in the second one are great, too! Yes, urge him to start his own digital mountain climbing!!
