Shadows and Senior Silliness

Bud and I took the grandsons to the park one day last week while we were visiting my son and his family on Baimbridge Island, WA. I could not resist taking my turn on the slide, and Bud couldn't resist taking pictures of me making a fool of myself. Thank goodness he stopped before I made my wonderful plop at the bottom. The child in the background in two of the shots is our seven year old grandson. I may be 73, but it is obvious I am still a child at heart and have no trouble poking fun at myself.

  9. Hope you landed softly and spared your back...'old' is truly a state of mind. We may age, but never are old unless we will our minds to accept it - every April, I redefine the term 'old' to keep from feeling that I could be so! Fun is at any age, always aim for the brass ring...

  11. Love the shadowy ladder shapes round the slide! It's so much fun enjoying the children's playground! I can never resist the swing, but I make sure not too many children are around when I have a go!

  18. N you know what - your grandson is probably thinking you are the koolest grandma ever. My Mum always used to say "Remember to PLAY, no matter how olde you get", SO TRUE. Great shots and nice to see the PLAY.

  25. Now that looks like fun...You had asked about my ducks on the deck post...I think that little female was on the ducklings of a Mama duck who showed up in the yard after having her bill damaged by a snapping turtle. She was weak and not able to be caught so I fed her and her ducklings until she regained her strength and she was able to raise her 2 ducklings...Michelle..
