Have you ever thought about using a texture as your background instead of your picture. This is an example of doing just that. I was reading on Bonnie’s
Pixel Dust Photo Art site, and this is the question she asked the readers. My answer was “NO,” but I was willing to give it a try. If you click on the link above, it will carry you to the page where she discusses this method and even gives you a free texture to use as your background. You will need to scroll midway down the page to get to that particular post. Her work is beautiful, and I am confident you will enjoy looking at her pages.
If you are wondering, this was the original picture...one of a wide open red and orangish-yellow tulip. I loved the picture SOOC so thought it might be a neat one to use for my experimentation. It took lots and lots of work on my part, but I FINALLY got it to this point. I will keep on trying because Bonnie’s are beautiful.
This is my post for
Texture Thursday
over at Audrey’s "The Daily Wyatt.”
Oh yes, it is beautiful, Genie! I also love the original photo!
ReplyDeleteThe textured tulip is outstanding. I love the colors.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great, abstract look! I think it was worth all the effort!
ReplyDeleteI am impressed with what you accomplished but I'll stick to original photography. Call me old fashioned, I don't care. :)
ReplyDeleteI think both photos are very pretty. I've never thought of using texture as a background. Very interesting. Do you use photoshop?
ReplyDeleteI'm liking them both, but the texture does have a great feel.
