A Piece of Me ~ {in the picture} ~ #11

Here is the final installment of my “snow angel” fiasco. You can see Jack had had enough and was heading for the house. I’d had enough, too. I made it for this last, one cold shot, and then I went in, too. Geeze, it was cold out there!

"So long, it's been good to know yuh;
So long, it's been good to know yuh;
So long, it's been good to know yuh.
But this dusty old dust is a-gettin' my home
And I've gotta be driftin' along."
~Woodie Gutherie”

{There are many verses to his song, but this is the refrain that repeats itself after every verse...and the one I remember.}

  1. Wow! It's amazing to see that snow lingering on and on... Looks as though it was fun, nevertheless. :-)
    Enjoy your week, Genie.

  3. Haha!
    Of course you can grow up and keep doing the stuff you love to do and can still do. Who says growing older means boring life?

    Oh go ahead, lie and play in the snow with Jack! My dog Sweepy and I would've join you if only we live in the next town! ;-)

  4. So...much...snow...
    And you have bare hands. No wonder you had had enough. Makes for some special memories and photos.

  5. It's not about growing up Genie - some of us never grow up and that's what makes us unique and fun to be around. And its not really about growing up - People just stop playing. Jack and I have a good wrestle on the floor every night. She loves it and it makes her very playful around any ruffhousing from the kids. When we stop playing (which I could never imagine), its like we lose a piece of our lives. How dull that would be. Keep playing.................Someone said to me once "Never lose the child within you, cause you're so much fun". Jack and I would have joined you in a flash, cause this is much like our lives here too. Smiles n chuckles :)
