Bloodroot on the Creek

This is an important part of our world on Kerrs Creek...the blooming of the bloodroot. It is a very exciting time for Bud and me. We just adore the way they pop their little heads up in hidden little places beside the creeks, along fence lines, and back in the woods. This afternoon I found this wonderful bunch within a mile of the house on a winding narrow gauge road right beside the creek. Car after car stopped thinking I had hit a deer or was having car problems. I would wave (that is what we do in this county) and motion them on. They only came out this weekend so you are seeing at their best.
