Signs from Our Family Hike ~ 12-5-11

You know us...we will always go hiking where there is a swinging bridge.

We used to go swimming here for years and years, and then this sign appeared. Trust me...we never camped here!

The yellow swaths of color represent property line. We stayed on the trail and did not go over where the posted signs were or the yellow markings on the trees.

We carried out all we carried in.

The date on this license plate was 1980.

  4. That's a big bunch of signs our there in them woods by the swinging bridge. I wonder why the NO camping/swimming sign appeared after all that time. People sure are protective of their "private" property, as if you could walk away with it... :-)

  7. My favorite is the last, is the most dramatic and I like the contrast of material and color.

  8. Was Buddy brave enough to put one foot over the dotted line like he did at the Canada USA border?

  11. What a lot of signs! It's kind of sad that they are necessary; the property owner must have had some problems ... I love the "no trace" sign - and the license plate begs for a story!!!

  14. I'm thinking the no swimming sign is there in case something happens there so they won't be sued.

  16. I'd always LEAVE NO TRACE, not even a scent of food, for everyone's safety.

    A little reminder always helps.

    Beautiful collection of signs.
