The Quiltery
Genie’s Favorite Place To Spend Her Money
Sign at the Top of the Driveway
The old home Is made of stucco and wood.
We use the side entrance rather that the one
on the front porch. This is where we park, too.
The other sign is here on the fence as you drive in the driveway.
There were lots of squiggly shadows on the lawn yesterday afternoon. Not until tonight when I started working to upload the photos did I discover that I had successfully captured both the vertical and the horizontal boards in the shadows. That was a whopper of a surprise...a nice surprise :-)
The other side of the fence in the shot just above.
All I can say is this has to be the most beautiful quilting shop I have ever frequented. The wood inside is vintage, and the guild ladies who run it are the nicest people in the world. Their fabrics are gorgeous. Classes are held upstairs and are very popular. It is a wonderful spot located only a mile from my school. It was here I purchased all of the Civil War reproduction fabrics to make my 12 Christmas present wreaths.

What a charming shop. There's one near me where I took some quilting lessons when I first retired--did a log cabin but still need to quilt it. Have you shown us your Christmas wreaths yet or are they under wraps until THE day? As for your fences--what a nice surprise that you shot both fence lines. I read some place that you should erase photos from just looking at them in the viewfinder. When uploaded there's some really nice surprises.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shadow shots Genie.
ReplyDeleteMy shadow entry. Thank you for supporting the new team of SSS. Happy holidays!
This is so delightful! Marvelous array of shadows and a great place to visit and browse!
