My Memories of "The Secret Garden"

“The Secret Garden” was one of my favorite books, and I adore the original movie. The remake was wonderful, but the old one continues to touch my heart. After taking these pictures and looking at them on my computer, all I could think of was that book. Maybe it is the dark circular spot in the bushes behind the gate that made me think of the book.

  1. The bent wire fence has an inherent nostalgic look that is very appealing. The series expands on the fence element in a very interesting way too. Very well done.

  14. Somehow this reminds me of an old bedstead.
The detailing is wonderful - a lost art in a way.

  18. This is a mysterious, but enticing, garden. I haven't seen a fence like that in years. (I guess my age is showing!) Merry Christmas!

  19. Oh, this is such a unique fence, especially the gate. I can just see your first photo especially as the cover of a book. I haven't read either "Secret Garden" but did enjoy the Broadway play.

Happy Holidays, Genie and best wishes for 2012.
